About Golden Butterfly Bakers

Golden Butterfly Bakers provides high-quality baked goods to homeless organizations, transition and halfway housing facilities, and prison ministries as a tangible expression of God’s grace and love. Our baked goods are prepared by passionate volunteers and freely given to the recipients with no expectation of return or recognition. We are selective with our ingredients and preparation methods and we strive for excellence in everything we bake. We believe God calls us to show kindness and share with those in need.

As each child has a different experience with homelessness, this one small thing of getting a cookie treat may seem small to some people, but to them it’s a luxury … they’ve told us how much they love them and how much it gives them a sense of “home”."

God blessed us with the gift of and passion for baking in order that we may be a blessing to others. We will respect and honor the recipients by providing consistent high-quality baked goods made with the best ingredients, flavored with prayer, love, and joy.

We are passionate volunteers bringing a bit of heaven to earth by doing what we do best: baking delicious cookies and other goods with lots of love, laughter and creativity.

Who we serve

We serve the homeless, incarcerated, marginalized, and forgotten. In the three years since Golden Butterfly Bakers came into existence, over 100,000 of these individuals have received our tangible expressions of God’s love. We distribute our baked goods by partnering with other established non-profit, charitable, 501(c)(3) organizations in the Houston area providing services to the homeless, transitional housing for youth and adults previously homeless or in addiction recovery, and prisoners seeking a new way of living through the Kairos prison ministry.
